Aashayein is plural for Asha, which means hope. Hence, Aashayein means Hopes.
As a matter of fact, Nagesh Kukunoor's film aashayein is named after the wonderful track from Iqbal, his earlier movie based on the story of a boy who cannot speak or hear.
